Field validation

In the 2022 season, when no downy mildew was detected, winegrowers treated their parcels less regularly. Of the treatments carried out, our maps enabled an average reduction of:
  • In Cognac: 28 %
  • In Saint Emilion: 11 %
  • In the south east of France: 49 %

How does it work?

Identify and map vines symptomatic of various diseases and anomalies, using pictures taken as close to the vine as possible.

Benefits for the winegrower

  • Optimize prospecting by identifying symptomatic vines
  • Geolocation of symptomatic vines to facilitate access during uprooting
  • Surveying in hidden time  during the period of maximum symptom expression
  • Fast return of results, enabling the winegrower to react quickly (maximum 7 days after pictures are taken)

Field validation

In 2022: detection of vines symptomatic of grapevine yellows in an area of the Bouches-du-Rhône region, in partnership with the Chamber of Agriculture.

38 parcels were covered by the on-board sensor on three vineyard estates. Of the 9 symptomatic parcels, 8 were detected by the on-board sensor.
